“Michael Jordan made scoring sexy. His reverse layups, slam dunks, and fadeaway shots were exciting to say the least.” -- Jason Kiang, author on www.bleacherreport.com. |
During Jordan’s first
NBA season, he attracted foreigners, out-of-towners, and journalists alike to
the Chicago Stadium with his slam-dunks and fade-away jump-shots. These antics
caused the average attendance per game to nearly double from 6,365 (260,950
total) to 11,887 (487,370 total), which jumped to 18,061 (740,482 total) in the
1987-1988 season.
